Macario De Souza discovered the joys of film editing during his time at COFA and suddenly he was hooked. “That first year of uni, it took over everything,” he says. “Every time I’ve found a new niche I’ve just gone overboard…”
The result was the 2007 documentary Bra Boys which he Co- Directed and according to the Southern Courier is Australia’a highest grossing documentary.
De Souza is about to release a new documentary, Fighting Fear, which follows friends Mark Mathews and Richie Vaculik as both chase a dream of becoming a professional sportsperson.
De Souza completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts majoring in Tine Based Art at COFA.
