Loop de Loop is a monthly animation challenge where animators from around the world create looping animations based on a given topic.
On the last Tuesday of the month loops are compiled and screened to a live audience at Loop in Melbourne. During the screening a winner is declared, who enters the hall of fame and has their loop featured on the website throughout the following month.
Students are invited to submit animations and attend the screening event in Sydney on Tuesday, 29 July at Knox Bar.

The Australian Innovation Challenge is looking for ideas from young innovators aged 21 years and under, that have the potential to make a difference to lifestyles, environment, work or play.
To enter, submit a 300 word summary of your innovation, a CV and any other assets that are relevant to the innovation, such as images, videos or links to content. Teams are welcome to enter.
The winner will receive $5,000.
Entries close Monday, 11 August.

Submissions are now open for the 2014 Seen and Heard Festival in Melbourne.
Female-identifying filmmakers including directors, producers, editors, cinematographers, screenwriters, and production designers are welcome to apply.
They are seeking shorts, features, animation, genre, documentary, comedy, experimental, horror, musicals, sci-fi, drama and silent cinema.

Underbelly Arts is calling for expressions of interest from artists to participate in the 2015 Festival and the Underbelly Arts Lab leading up to the festival.
Successful applicants will receive a development residency and mentorship opportunities, a financial contribution towards their project and a significant amount of in-kind and production support.

UNSW-based startup Meetisan is offering an internship to students with graphic design skills.
Meetisan is a networking platform that connects users through offline, face-to-face meetings through skills and interest-based ‘tags’ that work in conjunction with dual-geolocation services.
The intern will help Meetisan to launch its UNSW Social app (which will be launched early in Semester 2) by developing:
- Brand identity, including colour palettes and visual themes
- Video/animation design
- Website design
- Other miscellaneous and branded templates (e.g. letter heads, business cards, flyers, powerpoint slides etc)

The Corner Cooperative is seeking artists to participate in Useless, a group exhibition featuring materials that have been recontextualised, recycled or re-purposed.
The exhibition will be held from Oct 2 -9, 2014 at The Corner Cooperative in Chippendale.
All mediums are welcome, including installation, performance, painting, illustration, photography, sculpture, mixed media and moving image. Preference will be given to artists creating new work.
